Welcome!

The Community Planning in Scotland portal provides information on the support available to Community Planning Partnership (CPPs) and other partnerships that contribute to community planning, such as health and social care partnerships, from national improvement agencies (including the Care Inspectorate, Education Scotland, Healthcare Improvement Scotland, Improvement Service, NHS Health Scotland and NHS National Services Scotland) and national programmes. This includes links to online tools and information provided by national improvement agencies, as well as the contact details of who to speak to from these agencies if you would like to access tailored consultancy and facilitation support for your partnership.

This information will be updated by each of the national improvement agencies on a regular basis to reflect developments in the support available. When a resource is updated, or a new resource added, this will clearly be identified as ‘new’ on the portal.

National improvement agencies are increasingly exploring opportunities for joint working that ensures the widest range of improvement resources are locally accessible on an integrated basis.  We will continue to join-up offers of support where it makes sense to do so and share details of these on the portal.

How to use the portal

The support outlined in the ’Support for partnerships / CPPs’ section is targeted at a range of audiences, including CPP Boards, CPP Executive Groups or equivalent, CPP thematic groups or equivalent, area/neighbourhood partnerships / committees or equivalent and other partnerships that contribute to community planning, such as health and social care partnerships, community justice partnerships, violence against women partnerships etc.

The support outlined in the ‘Support for Health and Social Care Partnerships’ section is targeted specifically at health and social care partnerships and complements the more generic partnership support available within the ‘Support for partnerships / CPPs’ section. If you are looking for support for your health and social care partnership,  you should look in both sections as some of the generic support may meet your needs.

If you know what support you are looking for, a useful starting point would be to use the search function as this will highlight the support that is likely to be most relevant to you from across the portal.

If you cannot find the support that you are looking for on the portal, or you have a request for tailored support, or you are not sure which national improvement agency is best placed to provide the support needed by your partnership, please complete the form below.

Your feedback

If you have any feedback on the portal (e.g. ease of use, suggestions for improvement) or are aware of other support available to CPPs, please click on the button ‘Provide feedback or tell us about a resource’, which will direct you to the portal’s online feedback form.
